Nate Frazier didn’t practice yesterday. Still expecting him to play Saturday. Chauncey Bowens also took limited reps yesterday. He’s fine, that’s likely to keep him fresh. It’s a long season, gotta be very careful with Nate this early. Naturally with the guys having limited reps, Peanut, Walker, and Peal got more run. They’re capable and this is why they’re here. I think we will still avg. 5+ per carry even if we ride them or need to.
Reddell and Barbour had strong practice yesterday standing out in the TE room. We’ll see if that directly translates to Saturday. If OU stays true their identity, which is a hyper aggressive defense, those 2 will be right there behind some of those blitzes.
Juan Gaston was full go, no noticeable limitations.
Chase Linton is close. He dressed, did not participate in any contact. So he will be doubtful again.
Another note, source’s perspective is the guys were being coached even harder than typical. Schu yelling, “how great do you want to be?” repeatedly and he was getting after the guys in drills. T-Rob yelling, “a wounded animal is a dangerous animal. They say they’re hard to kill, so you gotta kill them. You gotta kill them.”
I’ll be surprised if there’s any mental let down from our guys Saturday, regardless of who plays or how limited they are. Even with Frazier probably on a rep limitation, we should be fine.
