I wonder if Leland's brain spasm scared Tyler Atkinson off.

A weak hire who left off Muschamp from our coaching roster might have cost us The Grayson Ghost.

Atkinson revealed what it was that led to his decision to commit to the Longhorns over the Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Clemson Tigers, and others.

"What really made me choose to go to Texas was the coaches, the relationship piece, and the atmosphere," said Atkinson. "I feel like I can accomplish everything I want at Texas..."

Leland may have self-immolated with this stunt. Angry Tyler loved him some Mustcuss.

"Leland Barrow was named assistant sports communications director on March 1, 2006, after serving in Georgia's sports communications office as an intern since August 15, 2005. Barrow was promoted to an associate sports communications director in 2011." He received the Dewey Dean Employee of the Year Award in May 2011 after being given the honor by UGA athletic director Greg McGarity. Barrow also received one of the Employee of the Quarter honors during that same calendar year.

Before interning at Georgia, Barrow interned for Fox Sports Network South (Atlanta, Ga.) in the Public Relations Department.

Barrow began his career as a sports writer at The Union-Recorder newspaper in Milledgeville, Ga., from February 2002 to April 2004.

Barrow is the primary media relations contact for men's and women's cross country and track and field, as well as one of the secondary contacts for football.--per georgiadogs.com

All of these HS kids say pretty much the same things at their self aggrandizing announcement ceremonies or interviews. I didn't listen to or ready any of his statement but I'm sure it included the following cliches.

"Texas felt like family".

"My relationship with the coaches was a big thing for me. Coach __________ and I talked a lot. We talked about a lot of things, not just football".
