Barrow was promoted to an associate sports communications director in 2011." He received the Dewey Dean Employee of the Year Award in May 2011 after being given the honor by UGA athletic director Greg McGarity. Barrow also received one of the Employee of the Quarter honors during that same calendar year.
Before interning at Georgia, Barrow interned for Fox Sports Network South (Atlanta, Ga.) in the Public Relations Department.
Barrow began his career as a sports writer at The Union-Recorder newspaper in Milledgeville, Ga., from February 2002 to April 2004.
