Encapsulated and a whole house dehumidifier put in. What you rekon that will set me back?   I think thhe crawl space is around 1700sqft

Back in the day, they just made sure it was vented properly, and laid down some plastic on the ground...is it causing you issues now? This may be all you need.

Be careful who you use. And, it's fairly expensive if done correctly and by a reputable contractor. But, I've heard some very satisfied folks say they wish they'd done it sooner.

If a crawlspace is properly vented and a vapor barrier is on the ground, there should be no problems at all.  Lack of ventilation in crawlspaces and attics is a common cause of moisture issues in houses.
