I retired after ~40 years of federal service.  While I enjoyed almost every day of my working career, retirement is much more fun with one exception, time seems to speed up as you age.

It's been 3 years and 5 months since I retired. 44 years, all with the United States Navy. Haven't looked back. Met a ton of great men and women, and had some great experiences.

I retire in 2028.

I’m topping off retirement funds fairly significantly in the meantime while enjoying lots of exotic business and personal travel.

I spent my whole career, working 6 day weeks.   Always looking forward to Sundays, knowing with the Store closed, I couldn't get called into work.  The weeks would just drag.

Now that I'm retired....every time I turn around, it's the weekend again!
