JC, others, to calm your fears on Curtis…

He has Light years better mechanics than BV.    Also, has better accuracy and velocity.    By all accounts can layer the throws.    Only two hurdles for Curtis will be speed of the game and getting used to the grind.   Embrace it…he’s gonna be a good one.   There’s a reason Lanning backed up the Brinks truck at the last minute.   He was offering almost double UGA’s money.   This kid loves UGA and we should get behind him.   (For the record, that’s more than Stafford ever did…UGa was just a means to an end for him).

Believe me, I'm hoping for the best and I'm pulling for him.  My hesitation is all about the history of highly touted qbs coming out of private Christian schools.  I don't think those kids face anything close to the talent they face in big time college football and they are frequently overwhelmed.  Adjusting to the speed of the game, the grind and not being the best athlete on the field on either side of the ball in every game are things Curtis will have to deal with.

best QB Coach Smart ever had at Georgia was a walk-on JUCO transfer.  which QB did birthin' hips develop?  Stafford was already a raw-talent coming out of Texas, who became INT machine with Dogs of Georgia.   Murray didn't need too much help, either.

I thought Murray was a dual threat in HS.....was wondering where that part of his game went. had a crazy run against Ewetee one year.
