ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia softball and Jack Turner Stadium will host the 2025 Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament this week. The 12-seeded Bulldogs will play the 13-seed Kentucky Wildcats in the first game of the tournament on Tuesday at 1 p.m., airing live on SEC Network. Georgia leads the all-time series 61-19. In Athens, Georgia is 28-7 against Kentucky in the series. Georgia is 2-2 against Kentucky in the SEC Tournament. It is single elimination. The winner of game one between Georgia and Kentucky will advance to play fifth-seeded Arkansas on Wednesday, May 7.

ATHENS, Ga.----Fresh off a 4-0 week, the University of Georgia baseball team ascended to the top spot in both the Baseball America and Perfect Game top 25 polls Monday. Before this week, the last time the Bulldogs were ranked number one came during the 2009 season in the USA Today and Collegiate Baseball polls. Georgia was ranked as high as No. 2 in the polls in 2019, 2020 and 2025. Georgia is No. 6 in the latest D1Baseball.com and USA Today Sports Baseball Coaches polls while the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) will be released late Monday.

ATHENS, Ga. – California transfer Derrick Chen has signed with the Bulldogs for the 2025-26 season, head coach Jamie Hunt announced on Monday. Chen, a Cambridge, United Kingdom native, comes to Athens as a graduate transfer after spending the last four years with the California Golden Bears where he put together 54-30 dual singles record and grabbed 25 dual doubles wins. This past season, Chen mainly played at lines four and five going 15-4 on the two courts combined.
