BELLEAIR, Fla. — The Georgia women's golf team completed the first round of stroke play at the SEC Championship on Monday, shooting 306 as a team at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. The Bulldogs finished the first day in 16th place with a round-one score of 26-over 306 on the par 70 course. The Bulldogs will compete in the SEC Championship's second round on Tuesday, which begins at 8 a.m. Georgia is paired with golfers from Missouri, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt and will tee off from hole 10 approximately every 10 minutes between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. 

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Georgia swimmers Jackson Bates and Abby McCulloh have been nominated for the 2024-25 Southeastern Conference H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as announced by the league office Monday. The Georgia swimming and diving programs have combined to earn nine McWhorter Awards.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.-----Fifth-ranked Georgia returns to action Tuesday when it faces 14th-ranked Georgia Tech at Truist Park in the Spring Classic to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). First pitch will be at 7 p.m., and will be carried on the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network. The Bulldogs (32-6) are the home team this year. Georgia leads 14-7 in the Spring Classic series that has been played in the Atlanta Braves stadium or their Triple-A park since 2003. In the all-time series, Georgia holds a 221-169-2 edge as it dates to 1898. The teams met four times last year with three finishing as the Bulldogs won 3-1 in Athens and 11-9 at Coolray Field for CHOA during the regular season. Then, Georgia ended Tech's season, beating them 8-6 (10) to win the NCAA Athens Regional.    

 BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Georgia equestrian graduate Sophia Pilla and head coach Meghan Boenig highlighted the annual Southeastern Conference postseason awards, as the league announced its Rider and Coach of the Year and All-SEC accolades on Monday. Four-time SEC Coach of the Year, Boenig has led the Bulldogs since the program's inception in 2001. Throughout her tenure at the helm, Georgia has collected seven national titles, six Southern Equestrian championships and three SEC crowns. Boenig owns an 89-16 dual-meet regular season record at home. Under her tutelage, Boenig has coached 98 NCEA All-Americans, 123 All-SEC selections and 24 SEC Riders of the Year. Following the 2025 SEC Championship, Pilla was recognized for her efforts in the classroom as the Equestrian Scholar-Athlete of the Year, becoming the third Bulldog to earn this honor. The graduate has also picked up the Flat Rider of the Year recognition for her performance in the arena this season. This is Pilla's first rider of the year nod. She has amassed a 9-3 season record, going 5-2 in conference competition. Pilla has recorded four of the top five Flat scores for the Bulldogs this season, leading the event in wins and Most Outstanding Performer honors with three. The Bulldogs are seeded seventh for the NCEA National Championship taking place at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. The Bulldogs will face two-seed Auburn in the first round on Thursday, April 17.

ATHENS, GA — The Georgia men's golf team concluded a two-round day of play at the Ford  in fifth place this afternoon, after shooting a collective 6-over. The leaderboard is topped by No. 1 Auburn at four-under, No. 7 LSU at one-under, and No. 2 Texas at one-over. They are joined in the field by No. 20 South Carolina, No. 23 Georgia Tech, No. 26 Tennessee, No. 30 South Florida, No. 35 Georgia, No. 77 Georgia Southern, No. 105 Augusta, No. 116 Wisconsin, and No. 156 Georgia State.
