we've put on the field since 2021...based on how many players will likely be drafted. I believe we had 15 drafted off of that team and I think we've got a chance to push that number.
Gunner has taken lots of strays this offseason, some deserved, some not. But, he will be the engine for the offense and we better hope he stays healthy. For all the flak he's caught, I didn't see another guy ready to play. Probably should have a separate post on QB's...but, I'd rank then like this:

The good news is there are TONS of weapons...even if unproven. Again, probably needs a separate post. The other great news is...the offense may not have to be elite. This team will be elite defensively. There's the potential to be near the production of '21 and the secondary should be very good...the DL and linebackers should be very good as well.
IF some of the offensive weapons emerge like I think they will, it could be a very fun season.

I'm not as knowledgeable as you are, so I will rely on your expertise.
Who is going to provide that disruptive presence on the DL? That has been missing since Jalen Carter left. Also, do we have a LB who can dominate like Nolan Smith? We have been talented on D since 2022, but we haven't been dominant. I don't worry too much about the offense, it is going to be what it always is under Kirby (and sadly, what it always is under Bobo).

JC, don't sell yourself short...I'm not any more knowledgeable than you are. I mostly rely on a few others who see practice and talk to the coaches.
Look for Elijah Griffin to be a force on the DL. There are numbers around him too. Really good reports on Ogboko and a couple of others.
Chase Linton is a name you're going to hear often with the LB group. Gabe Harris, Chris Cole and JUstin Williams makes for a solid group.

I expect the defense to be a wrecking crew. You’re right, this is strong and deep team. I be surprised if they don’t make the chip game.

I have read elsewhere UGA has the most returning snaps in the SEC, seeing as we won it last year, I see that as a good thing..

Until UGA improves a lot along both LOS, we will continue to see what we've seen the last few seasons. Regarding Gunner, he's gonna have to play better that last season. He wasn't bad but, he was lacking in a few games. Not all his fault.

I've been a Gunner fan since I saw him play in HS. I hated to see him commit to SC and was thrilled when he flipped to us. I said all of last season that I liked him and he was good. That said, he needs to take that next step and become a truly top tier SEC QB in the passing game if we are going to have a chance to win another NC. If he looks pedestrian throwing the ball again this season, it might not be his fault, but his QB coach's.
