ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia volleyball has eagerly awaited its season opener for the past eight months — but for one player, the wait has been even longer. Redshirt junior Kendal Kemp will finally make her debut in a Bulldog jersey on Friday at the Samford Invitational. After two standout seasons as an Auburn Tiger, the 6-foot-6 middle blocker transferred to Georgia in 2024, but was required to redshirt due to SEC transfer rules. Kemp made her unofficial debut last Saturday in Georgia's exhibition match against Georgia State, and her first time back between the lines did not disappoint.

Pebble Beach, Calif. - Bulldogs Open Season at the Carmel Cup at the Spyglass Hill Golf Course. The Bulldogs debuted in Golfweek's 2025-26 Men's College Golf preseason rankings on Wednesday at No. 21. Last time out, Georgia finished 10th at the 2025 NCAA Championships, its fourth Top 10 finish in the Greg Sands era and sixth in program history.

The Bulldogs return senior Carter Loflin, junior Grayson Wood and sophomores James Earle and Matt Moloney. The team added transfer Sungyeop Cho, who was named the 2025 Gary Player International Golfer of the Year for a Division II player, as well as freshmen JD Culbreth and Will Guthrie to its 2025-26 squad.

Head coach Chris Haack enters his 30th season at the helm in 2025-26. During his 29 previous seasons leading the program, the Bulldogs have advanced out of the NCAA Regional round and into the championships 24 times. Haack has also guided the team to at least one tournament win in 25 of the 29 seasons during his time as the head coach.

Since its inception in 2011, the Carmel Cup has been regarded among the most prestigious regular season events in college golf, annually bringing together eight of the nation's top-rated teams from the Big 12 and SEC. Teams will engage in 18 holes of stroke play each day. Unique to college golf, the Carmel Cup is a six-player lineup tournament with teams' five best scores counting at the conclusion of each round.

ATHENS, Ga. - No. 13 Georgia closes its season-opening homestand with a match against ASUN foe North Florida Thursday evening at the Turner Soccer Complex. The Bulldogs are looking to post four consecutive shutouts for the first time since 2022. This is the second all-time meeting between the Bulldogs and Ospreys, with UGA prevailing, 1-0, on Sept. 8, 2022, in Athens. North Florida is seeking to rebound from a 5-0 defeat at Florida on Sunday and earn their first win since the season opener against Howard. The Ospreys were picked fifth in the ASUN preseason poll.

As a team, the Bulldogs were ranked 13th by both the United Soccer Coaches and TopDrawerSoccer. The mark ties the highest held by the program under Keidane McAlpine in the year-end poll of 2023. In non-COVID seasons, Georgia's highest-ever ranking was No. 12 in September 1999. No. 13 Georgia heads on the road for the first time this season as it heads west to face Washington State on Sunday, Aug. 31 in Pullman, Washington at 4 p.m. EDT.

ATHENS, Ga. – A total of 57 former Bulldogs made NFL rosters as organizations finalized their initial 53-man teams Tuesday for the upcoming 2025 season. The 57 Bulldogs are on 24 different teams, and the total number of players increased by 11 from last season. Georgia's tally is the third highest amongst all college football programs, trailing only Ohio State (61) and Alabama (63).
