serious flooding in the choo choo...

Yep. It looked like a small river going down my street for a few hours. I live on a small hill about a mile or so as the crow flies from Lake Winnie. I’m sure that low area of homes about a 1/2 mile East of me at Cross St and McAfee Rd. had flooding problems.
Those apartments I pictured below are about 2 miles from my house.

Supposed to have more thunderstorms this afternoon & evening with up to 2 more inches of rain. I feel for the people that didn’t check flood zone maps before buying their homes. None of this flooding got to the 500 year flood plain but it got well above the hundred year flood in lots of the South Chickamauga Creek drainage that runs from Lookout Mtn through the Fort Oglethorpe/Ringgold area of Georgia and the East Ridge/Brainerd areas of Chattanooga before getting to the Tennessee River.
