Four-star wide receiver/defensive back Sequel Patterson
listed Georgia among his top four schools. Patterson included Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky in his top four schools and will announce his commitment on Thursday, June 26 at 8:45 p.m. ET.
Patterson is a four-star athlete from the class of 2026. The 6-foot, 165-pound athlete plays both wide receiver and defensive back for Indian Land High School in Fort Mill, South Carolina. He is the No. 15 ranked athlete and No. 189 ranked prospect in the nation, along with being the No. 4 prospect from South Carolina.
According to 247Sports' scouting report on Patterson, he's "likely going to need a few semesters to get adjusted to the pace and physicality of the collegiate game, but projects as a potential impact player for a Power Four program that should add plenty of special teams value with his wide-ranging skill set."
Patterson is a year-round athlete. He plays basketball, receiving an offer from Radford University, and track and field, where he finished second in the high jump at 2025 South Carolina 5A Division II championship.
Patterson was originally in the class of 2027, but he reclassified to the 2026 recruiting cycle on June 1, 2025. He hasn't scheduled an official visit with Georgia, Tennessee, or Kentucky yet, but he visited South Carolina on June 20. 247Sports also predicted that Patterson will commit to South Carolina.
Patterson would be an interesting addition to Georgia's class of 2026. He would be the highest-ranked wide receiver to commit to Georgia, who recently saw four-star Vance Spafford flip to Miami, leaving the Bulldogs with three-star commits Ryan Mosley and Brady Marchese. However, he would be joining a very talented cornerback back room, with four-star commits Justice Fitzpatrick and Caden Harris ranking higher than him.
