Lol.  Is there such a thing?

Did this game start at 11AM?  Seems crazy to start a bowl game on a workday Friday morning.

How do you feel about starting one after a 3 martini lunch on workday Friday afternoon?

Kennesaw State has over 50,000 students who can't get in to Georgia because of the strict admission standards.  Let them have a football team.  They have been pretty successful.  They're only in their second year in the FBS and won the Conference USA Title game.  They were actually on the bubble of being one of the group of 5 teams in the playoff.  They are probably playing let down because they fell to a bowl that kicked at 11 on a Friday workday, and their student fans all still have finals...

Kennesaw State has become the go to school for ATL area kids of helicopter parents who are scared to actually go away to college but want to live away from home (sort of) while in college.  I have two nieces  from ATL who went to Kennesaw.  They lived in dorms and apartments but went home constantly.  They both could have gone to schools farther away but were scared to get too far away from home.  I fully expect both of them to get jobs in the ATL area and move back in with their parents when they graduate.  They are both smart, pretty girls but they lack self confidence because their parents never allowed them to make a single decision for themselves or do anything that they might fail at.

I have no issue with the schools having football teams.  Ga State is a little odd because so few students are traditional resident type students.  It is pretty much a commuter college.

What I don't understand is why schools like this, or Southern want to be D1. They'll never have a chance to compete for a Natty, but in FCS they could.

I don't know the details, but I think, like most things in college athletics, it has to do with money.

Since when?  It was Georgia State from 1996 until like about 10 years ago when Tech took over.  They had to do a major renovation because it had some sort of defect with the buildings and they were sinking.
