Last time I saw him (a couple months ago at a press conference with Kirby?) he didn't look too good.  He has aged a lot and looks pretty frail.

1 year older than me.  It's pretty scary seeing how quickly people our age can go down when they get some sort of major health problem.  I'm in pretty good shape but I know the margin for error is getting slimmer and slimmer every year.  A friend's dad was in his late 70s when he had some health issues.  He had been playing golf three times a week, drove himself everywhere, did a lot of yard work and was very active in general.  In a matter of a few months he was not driving, couldn't play golf, had trouble walking and couldn't really be left alone for any extended period of time.  The doctor told my friend when they talked about his dad's recovery, "he's going to have a new 100% now, he won't ever be back to how he was before".

Like my mother has said forever, "getting old ain't for sissies".

I saw a clip of him shaking hands at the Miami/FSU game. He's definitely stiff, but I agree.  His decline was steep, but he seems to have plateaued and is fighting the good fight.
