O-Line? Guys who could not catch? Or, a personality that just didn't motivate the team? How is he going to work in Miami? Did he just not "work" with Bobo? Odd how it worked out. We don't seem to have worked that hard to keep him.

No inside info here, but from my amateur psychiatrist view.......the kid is fragile mentally, more about glitz than substance.....the position went to his head, money went to his head, was more interested in outside noise than the TEAM. I suspect he didn't do a lot of outside work with receivers and that might have contributed to drops. I also think he did things "technically" right, but not the RIGHT things at times....an example was the first interception at Bama. Then the pouting, probably laying issues at the rest of the players feet than taking ownership. There was a clip of the team in the locker room after the FU game I believe. Kirby had to ask him to join the rest of the team huddled around him. That's your starting QB, being asked by the head coach to huddle up with the rest of the team. I am surprised Kirby put up with it, but I think Beck's talent was too much to bench...probably hoping he could come around and at least try. Those are my thoughts on the matter.....

Beck has some skill and will get drafted. It will be interesting to see how he does at Miami. I suspect he will get along better with the team there than he did here.
That being said, Mill nailed it above. He was the least “team” oriented player on the team the last two years. Folks also seem to forget he went through a stage where he was averaging about 3 int’s per game. He was afraid to run. He had no connection with the receivers and, for whatever reason, doesn’t throw a catchable ball.
We will be far better off with Gunner.

Probably a little bit of all of the above. There were times he looked very good but there were other times he looked awful. I hope Gunner is the answer but, I just don't know. One thing's for sure. His team loves him. Beck is gone and the only time he enters my thoughts is when someone brings his name up here or elsewhere. I will be pulling against Miami because I've always pulled against them. That has nothing to do with Beck.

For some reason yesterday I watched the first half of last years SECCG, without the drops, UGA would have been up 3 TD’s…we were painful last year in that category.
I hope the new guys get past that..

He was not well liked by teammates, so team chemistry sucked.
Beck's propensity to throw slightly off target throws combined with most of receivers having bad cases of butterfingers
added greatly to the problem.
An OL that never gelled mostly due to ongoing injury problems, magnified the skill position players shortcomings.

It’s pretty amazing we won the SEC…and two plays vs ND did us in..turnover before the half and KO return..
I still think the game being played a day later changed the vibe, for both teams…

No xWR, Staring TB fumbled. Backs ups hurt. OL hurt and out of sync. WR drops. Bad WR routs. Bad WR blocking. Bobo. Beck wasn't great either.
