Woof™ For 16th Best Season in History of UGA Football #6 Final AP Poll (SEC Champs)

EUGENE, Ore. --- Former Bulldog champion Kyle Garland moved to No. 3 on the all-time American list in the decathlon after winning by 462 points at the 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Friday. Garland, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., scored a personal best 8,869 points to move to No. 10 on the world's all-time list in the combined events.  He will now represent Team USA in the decathlon at the coming World Athletics Championships. Other Bulldog medal winners so far have included former Georgia champion Marc Minichello (javelin – bronze) at the Championships. The World Athletics Championships are scheduled in Tokyo, Japan, on Sept. 13-21. Current Georgia champion Aaliyah Butler locked down a bronze medal in the 400-meter dash to punch her ticket to the coming World Athletics Championships at the 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Saturday. Georgia director of track and field, Caryl Smith Gilbert, has already been named the head coach of the Team USA women in Tokyo.

ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia men's golf team has received team and individual academic honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Junior Grayson Wood was named a 2024-25 Colbalt Golf All-America Scholar with a 3.30 grade point average and a stroke average of 70.8. Collectively the Bulldogs earned All-Academic Team recognition on the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award list for a team GPA above 3.0.  

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia student-athletes Jordan Brown (soccer) and Tori Harper (volleyball) have been named nominees for the inaugural Allstate NACDA Fall Good Works Team.

ATHENS, Ga. — Diamond Battles, a former All-Southeastern Conference guard at Georgia, and Jordan Whitening, a former guard at Georgia Southwestern, join the Lady Bulldog basketball staff as graduate assistants.
