Only two things could change that…D’wan Mathis type failure (won’t happen) or injury.
I’d caution the doubters to remember how much almost everyone doubted Stet (even after a Natty). ( me included). Gunner has many of the intangibles Stet possesses with a better arm. He doesn’t have Stafford or even Pugs Cannon…but, he has plenty of arm. He will not be rattled and is a tough as the come. All of this post season disrespect he’s getting is doing nothing but driving the kid. Not that it matters, but he’s also one of the nicest people you will ever meet. (Vastly different than Stet).
I don’t know how many of you were at the game(App St.) where Eason got injured and Fromm came in…it was like the music came on for the team. Fully expecting that’s what you’ll see with Gunner. (He’s better than Fromm and it’s not close).
This kid should be super easy to like for us fans. He’s been loyal and now it’s his turn. We should all be behind him and cheer loud for him. If he stays healthy, we just may get a 3rd Natty in 5 years.

When he came on board I was sold. His eyes are kinda spaced apart where I feel like he can see pressure out of the side of his hade. Tuck the ball brother and go.

If that were the qualification, Beck would have thrown for 8000 yds last year.

I think he was looking in the stands.

My larger concerns lie with the OL (both run blocking and pass blocking), and the ability to run the football better than last season. On defense, they need to play much better against the perimeter running of the opposing teams offense. If Gunner has to do too much, that could mean a couple or more losses.
I hope he has a stellar season but, it really depends as much or more on his supporting cast than him.

Bobo is still the Achilles heel of the offense.

FIFY
Some truth there, but Coach Smart's short leash is complicit. It is, just now, an unindicted coconspirator.

Hard to run that offense without an X WR unless you have a Bowers. We have Xs this year. Kirby loaded the Bobo

Maybe Kirby is setting Bobo up to be fired. Bobo won't have the personnel excuse when he shits the bed again this season.
Bobo has had plenty of teams that were loaded with talent at all positions over the years and has shit the bed with every one of them.
Bobo is Kirby's Willie Martinez, the good friend that eventually puts his ass on the hot seat.
