I hate that. EZ was the best analyst I ever heard. He could see and explain things going on in the game better than anyone.

I hope Brock is good. DJ needs to go, he isn't good at all.

Don’t know where he is now living, but there was a time when he was commuting in from Nashville, or so I hear.

He's missed a few games over the last couple of years with a kid's sports schedule or something. No big deal, but he probably wanted out.

DJ can barely put together a sentence in English, a key skill needed when speaking for a living.

Stinch an option? Or, is that too much of a downgrade in position for him…going from the c team on espn to a predictable gig?

It is pretty obvious that DJ was a DEI hire.

To McDonough's point; I don't think those sideline/analyst jobs pay much at all.  Even Scott Howard probably doesn't make a ton of money compared to the top level announcers at ESPN or other networks.  I'd be surprised if Scott made $100,000 a year.  I imagine the network picks up travel and lodging expenses and pays a nominal amount for the sideline/analyst guys, maybe $500 per game.  This is all speculation on my part, I haven't seen any numbers.

I have always liked Shock myself..maybe because I saw him play HS football at North Clayton and I enjoyed watching his play at QB for UGA. Saw him in the SECCG..nice win over LSU I believe..

I like him.  In fact, I played in a foursome with him at Athens Country Club a few years ago and we had a great day.  He is a very nice guy and was a great qb for Georgia.

None of that has anything to do with his performance as a sideline reporter for Georgia games.  He is horrible at that.

Well technically the announcers are with IMG sports aren't they?  They are approved by UGA.  That said, he also does the basketball games as well.  So it's not just football.

Hell, somehow, Fox5 Atlanta hired him to be their sports anchor.  I never watch that network for news nor do I watch the UGA specials much, but I don't know how he got that gig.  I totally agree on the personal side, he's a DGD and a great guy.
