Bought a new pistol today
#1
a HK CC9.  Been looking for one for several months without success.  Today, thr guy I deal with at the gun shop called and said they received 2 and he set one aside for me.  The gun is a bit heavier than I expected, and it feels substantial in my hand, but this should help minimize recoil, and the ergonomics are very good. I like the blacked out rear sights and the tritium front sight.  I’ll get to the range in the next few days and let you know how she shoots.

They are fine guns. I have the VP9 and it’s my favorite of any pistol. I think you’ll love it.

what made you decide on that one? Sounds like you hadn't tried it out prior if it was heavier than you anticipated.

I like HK pistols, and also have a VP9 and P2000 with the LEM trigger.  HK quality, reliability, and accuracy are superb.  The testing of the CC9 prior to release was rigorous ~1M rounds under extreme conditions.  The gun fit my hand very well, and the weight is not prohibitively heavy.  Also, the grip texture is much less abrasive than that of the other small pistols I own.  So, it should not irritate my skin or snag on the shirts I routinely wear. I just thought it would be a bit lighter for such a small concealable pistol.  I’m satisfied with the purchase decision and didn’t intend to imply otherwise.

A heavier pistol is great for home defense, but not so good for concealed carry, IMO.
