WACO, Texas — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (26-3, 13-2 SEC) is set to face No. 8 Duke (24-3, 12-0 ACC) in the NCAA Championships quarterfinal on Thursday, May 15 at 11 a.m. ET at the Hurd Tennis Center. No. 8 Duke heads into Waco with a 24-3 overall record after going an undefeated 12-0 in the ACC, earning the regular season championship crown. The Bulldogs have reached the NCAA quarterfinal round for the 29th time in program history, owning an even 14-14 record in previous NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.

ATHENS, Ga.----- Fourth-ranked Georgia finishes the regular season with Texas A&M visiting Foley Field for an SEC series starting Thursday night. First pitch will be at 6:02 p.m. and be available on SECN+ and the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network. Game two of the series will be Friday when the Bulldogs will honor their seniors starting at 5:40 p.m. with first pitch at 6:02 p.m. (SECN+) The series concludes Saturday with another Foley Fest and first pitch at 12:02 p.m. on the SEC Network.

LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The Georgia track & field teams arrived in Lexington, Ky., and are making final preparations for the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships, which are slated to begin on Thursday and continue through Saturday at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Facility. The Georgia women rank No. 1 nationally to lead a group of 11 SEC teams appearing in the top 25 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national rankings. The No. 5 Georgia men join a cluster of 12 SEC teams appearing in the top 25 nationally ahead of the conference meet and are one of three competing teams ranked in the NCAA's top five.

ATHENS, Ga. — Marcus "Smurf" Millender, who ranked among American Athletic Conference (AAC) leaders in eight statistics at UT San Antonio during the 2024-25 campaign, has signed to join the Georgia Bulldogs next season, head coach coach Mike White announced on Wednesday. Millender, a 5-11 guard from Houston who played at South Alabama as a freshman, has compiled 770 points, 209 assists and 80 steals in his first two seasons of college basketball. He did so while shooting 43.8 percent from 3-point range and 82.3 percent from the free throw line. Millender started 43 of 63 games at USA and UTSA, recording 39 double-figure scoring outputs and 11 20-point performances.

ATHENS, Ga. --- Bulldog sixth-year thrower Stephanie Ratcliffe has been named the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year, according to a league announcement Tuesday. Ratcliffe, a native of Melbourne, Australia, tied for the honor with Alabama's Doris Lemngole.  Ratcliffe's accolade marks the fourth for the Lady Bulldog program with the last two going to the legendary Keturah Orji in 2016 and 2018.

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. —— The No. 22 Georgia men's golf team ended the final round of the 2025 Tallahassee Regional in fourth place at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course on Wednesday May 14. The Bulldogs shot a collective seven-under over the course of three rounds and punched their ticket to the NCAA Championship. Advancing out of Tallahassee alongside No. 22 Georgia are No. 11 Florida State, No. 3 Ole Miss, No. 46 New Mexico, and Augusta. The Bulldogs will be back in action for the NCAA Championship May 23-28 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Red letter day today. My little girl is graduating from UNG and has a job under contract. Starts her masters program after a well deserved couple weeks off. She may have UNG on her degree, but she bleeds red and black just like her old man.
