TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Top-ranked Georgia routed No. 23 Alabama 19-3 to post a run-rule win in seven innings in game one of a doubleheader Friday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Game two went into a rain delay in the top of the fifth inning with the Crimson Tide leading 6-2 and play was suspended. The teams will aim to complete game two Saturday and then play the final game of the series. Georgia (40-11, 16-9 SEC) is scheduled to finish the series here with No. 23 Alabama Saturday. Game two is slated to resume Saturday at 5:02 p.m. ET on SEC Network+ followed by the final game of the series. Inclement weather could again be a factor Saturday and force adjustments.

ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (26-3, 13-2 SEC) punched its ticket to the NCAA Championships after sweeping No. 19 California (15-9, 9-3 ACC), 4-0, in the NCAA Super Regional at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday. The Bulldogs have now advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championships for a third-consecutive season. Georgia will travel to the Lone Star State for the NCAA Championships on May 15-18 hosted by Baylor University at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. The Bulldogs will face the winner between 8-seed Duke and 9-seed Auburn with match date and time TBD.

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia senior softball student-athlete Dallis Goodnight has been voted Second Team All-SEC by the league's head coaches. This is Goodnight's second-straight Second Team All-SEC honor, earning that status a season ago.
