COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Georgia Bulldogs picked up a one-run victory on Friday evening at the Mizzou Softball Stadium, beating the Missouri Tigers 3-2 to even the weekend series. Saturday's game will be the sixth time this season the Bulldogs will square off in a rubber match in a series finale. The Bulldogs will look to capture their first SEC series win of the season. The game will also be the regular season finale for both teams.
ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (24-3, 13-2 SEC) opened its NCAA Tournament run in dominant fashion, sweeping Florida A&M (11-11, 6-2 SWAC), 4-0, in the first round at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday. Georgia will face in-state rivals Georgia Tech in the NCAA Regional second round on Saturday, May 3 at 1 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The winner will advance to the NCAA Super Regionals held on May 9-10.
ATHENS, Ga. — Graduate student Chantal El Chaib and sophomore Morgan Smith were honored by the Southeastern Conference with a pair of annual recognitions, as announced by the league office on Friday. El Chaib was named the 2025 SEC Newcomer of the Year while Smith earned a spot on the SEC Community Service Team. El Chaib is set to continue her season at the NCAA Lubbock Regional on May 5-7, where she will look to punch her ticket to the NCAA Women's Golf Championship on May 16-21.
BATON ROUGE, La--- A group of Georgia sprinters, jumpers, and distance runners will travel to Baton Rouge, La., for the outdoor regular season finale, competing at the LSU Invitational on Saturday. The meet will serve as the team's final preparation for the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships on May 15-17.
RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 26 University of Georgia men's tennis team is set for first round action of the NCAA Tournament in the Raleigh Regional against No. 65 UNC-Wilmington tomorrow at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. Doubles are set to commence at 11:00 a.m. E.T., and the winner of the match will advance to face the victor of host No. 8 N.C. State and S.C. State.
