Country music clown show Billie Gay Cypress has spoken out for the first time about his budding romance with British model and actress Elizabeth Hurley. Appearing on Apple Music Country's The Ty Bentli Show, BGC revealed how a thoughtful message from Hurley came at just the right time.
After a tough year, including a short-lived marriage and divorce from singer Firerose, Cyrus, 63, said he hit rock bottom — until he received an unexpected text from Hurley, his co-star in the 2022 holiday film Christmas in Paradise. The kind, encouraging message lifted his spirits.
"I texted back, 'Who is this?' and it was Elizabeth Hurley," he recalled. Though they hadn't spoken in two years, the connection instantly rekindled.
Rekindled Bond After Two Years
Although they had not spoken for two years, Cyrus immediately recalled the rapport he felt with her on the set. "We just laughed," he explained, noting that Hurley made him happy when he was not smiling a lot.
Cyrus reminisced about their easy rapport on set: "We just laughed," he said, adding that Hurley made him smile during a time when he rarely did.
According to the Daily Post, the two soon got back together. "She's so amazingly smart she makes me think of Dolly Parton. If you can laugh at each other, you can survive anything," Cyrus said.
