Gary Lee Weinrib and Alexandar Živojinović (later known professionally as Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush) at Fisherville Junior High School, in the Willowdale area of Toronto, Canada, circa 1966/67.
"The first time I saw Alex he had a paisley shirt on. He looked kind of cool. He was also a teacher's pet, a bit of a teacher fanatic. But he was a lot of fun, so I liked him. At school we had fun together a lot, we laughed out loud. And we understood where we came from, culturally. We were children of immigrants from Eastern Europe who had left Europe after the Second World War to start a new life in Canada. So we were, both of us, one. little different."
