Bama's QB this season is much better than their QB last season.  A mobile QB has always been Kirby's kryptonite and our pass rush has been pretty ineffective this season.  Hopefully, we don't give up 20 third down conversions in a row this time.

But I agree, Vandy first.  Coach Lea has made them no longer an automatic win 19 times out of 20. 
Gotta focus on the Dores, give them the respect they deserve…and then kick their asses by 3 or 4 TDS.

You could see that mental block, let’s play not to lose rather than play to win from Kirby even in the ‘21 NC Game when he tried to get Kelee Ringo to take a knee rather than keep running with the INT.  So very glad KR ignored him.  I firmly believe if he had knelt , DAWGS would somehow given the ball back to Bama and given them another chance to win.

I don’t know about any of y’all, but I don’t see any SEC team running the table this year…I’d rather beat Bama down the road than worry about one SEC regular season game, as last year played out, hard to beat a good team twice..ask Bama and UGA.

Stetson grew up being chased by the fastest dudes anywhere. He had that spinout move ingrained into his muscle memory. When he was flushed out of the pocket he escaped , spinning out. He was speedy enough to make the same move work over and over. I see so many QB's work that spinout now that , like a creative street basketball move that has been copied, these modern QB's are just harder to sack . They don't freeze up and get plowed as often. They spinout and the defender is left running a looong looping path of pursuit while the QB gets a better view downfield and sometimes guts the defense with a first down, or a pass. The best defense is a QB on his back; but next is a QB in a shrinking pocket. A mobile QB is everybody's Krytonite; Roger Staubach, Archie Manning , Condredge Holloway, Vince Young, Johnny Manzel , Stetson Bennet, Mr Milroe all could break down a defense with their legs. I wonder now if the lack of sacks by our guys is strategic; the actual goal, and the " Mush Rush" is the next evolution in the reaction to the mobile QB? There are not many Roman Gabriel , Jared Lorenzo, Matt Stafford type QB's now; all these new guys are athletic enough to be taught the Houdini spinout if they didn't teach it to themselves in South Georgia. Maybe "Pressures" have replaced sacks as the countermeasure. Making the QB have to see over a wall, throw it off his back foot or sling it sidearm thru a narrow gap is better than having your 305 lb 4.75 sec 40 guy chasing some of these new rascals who are also track stars. More sacks, we may see , as the season goes on; but if we don't it may be by design.
