Tomorrow I celebrate my 67th trip around the sun
As most here know, two years ago I was diagnosed with late-stage Acute Myeloid Leukemia, with less than a 50% chance of surviving.  I basically lived at UAMS Little Rock for a year while recovering from the bone marrow transplant.
I now celebrate a two-year diagnosis of 100% cancer free and 100% DNA transplant success. I now have the DNA of a 22 yr old kid from Colorado.
They don't toss around the term "cured" until the five year mark. but it's just a matter of regaining my strength and staying healthy.  
I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.  

And as always, Go Dawgs!

Thanks for the update. Congrats from another survivor. I have the tee-shirt and the scars. I also have a deep appreciation for our Lord and my Guardian Angel. I suspect your philosophies have changed also.

That is fantastic!  And actually quite rare.  My daughter is also a survivor after 2 bone transplants - the first from her sister and the second from an unrelated donor in Rhode Island.  It's been over 17 years for her.

I know something of what you've been through and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

So glad to hear that you came out the other side in great shape!

Hallelujah, Bullockdawg ! Kim King , the ga Tech QB during my youth , got leukemia and was interviewed about his planned treatment. He related that a friend asked if he REALLY wanted to go to Arkansas for his care and he laughed and said he had researched the options and Little Rock had the best Docs in the world for this problem. So glad for your news and praying for your continued health. I'm grateful for Doctors who have worked and endured failures to push back against cancer .
