TULSA, Okla. - Men's tennis Sophomore Noah Johnston and junior Andrew Delgado fell in the round of 32 doubles main draw of the ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Johnston/Delgado will move into the doubles consolation draw and await their opponent announcements.

CARY, N.C. — Georgia's Women's tennis No. 54 Emma Dong and No. 80 Linea Bajraliu each defeated ranked opponents Wednesday, advancing to the second round Thursday in the ITA All-American singles main draw, which runs through Sept. 27.

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia volleyball team came back and defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks in five sets (25-22, 19-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-10) on Wednesday in the SEC opener at Stegeman Coliseum. With Georgia down one set going to the fourth, the offense began to fire as the team hit .467 in the fourth and .579 in the fifth to come back and win the match in five sets. Georgia climbs to 9-2 on the season with its sixth-straight win and remains undefeated at home at 6-0. Georgia welcomes the Arkansas Razorbacks to Stegeman Coliseum next Friday, Oct. 2. The match will begin at 7 p.m. It'll be Decades Night at Stegeman. The first 500 fans will get a special edition t-shirt. Gates open at 6 p.m., and general admission is free. 

ATHENS, Ga. - Addison Scott has been much improved from a year ago the Georgia women's cross country team. In Georgia's season-opening meet on Sept. 4, the Covered Bridge Open in Boone, N.C., Scott won the race with a time of 17:22.00. It was her fastest time ever on a 5K course by a whopping 28 second. Last Saturday, at the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind., Scott and fellow sophomore Anastasia Nilsson paced the Bulldogs to a 13th-place finish on the 6K course. Scott and the Bulldogs have a couple of weeks of training before they wrap up their regular season on Oct. 9 at the Nuttycombe Invite in Madison, Wis.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Georgia women's soccer team opens a two-match SEC road trip with a contest against Arkansas on Thursday evening in Fayetteville. The Bulldogs and Razorbacks are meeting for the fifth time in four seasons.  Despite recent success against Arkansas, Georgia has not prevailed in Fayetteville since a 1-0 win on Oct. 27, 2013; since then, the Bulldogs have failed to win three straight times at Razorback Field. Georgia remains on the road to face LSU (2-7-1, 0-2-0 SEC) in Baton Rouge on Sunday, Sept. 27.
