$1000 a tree isn't too bad, especially if they ground the stumps too.

Good price, but it sucks.

If the trees can’t be dropped, like in a subdivision, the price goes through the roof.

Wish I could get 1000 bucks per tree.

Around here, "big trees" i.e. 50ft pines, old oaks, etc. all go for about $1000 a tree in normal times.  After a storm, when people have PTSD about trees, the tree services double and triple their prices.  I think a big part of the cost is the removal of the tree and the stump grinding once it is down.  I imagine you could get someone to cut a big tree and leave it on the ground for a couple hundred dollars.  Stump grinding around here is usually about $100 a stump if they don't haul off the debris and around $200 if they do haul off the debris.

Stump grinding is $150 per.

Maybe I’m not getting jobbed as much as I thought. Thanks for the feedback, fellas.

I paid 6k for 5 huge white oaks, but they were all leaning towards, some a bit over, the house.  Lots of bucket truck work, and some climbing involved.

Dropped them, and chipped up all the smaller limbs, and left the rest on the ground.  I cut and split them for firewood.  Still got plenty for another few years!

I understand that. I was jokingly saying that I wish I could get 1000 per tree in my timberland. Heck, 100 per tree would be nice
