AUSTIN, Texas – In a back-and-forth affair, the 19th-ranked University of Georgia soccer team bested Texas, 4-2, Thursday evening before 1,093 spectators at Mike A. Myers Stadium. With the win, Georgia (9-3-4, 5-1-2 SEC) secured its fifth conference victory for the first time since 2022 and picked up its first-ever win over Texas (3-11-1, 1-7-0 SEC), including its first goals in the series. Georgia returns to Athens to host Auburn in its regular season home finale on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. at Turner Soccer Complex. Admission is free for all spectators.
ATHENS, GA. - Georgia volleyball returns to Stegeman Coliseum this week to host Alabama on Friday and Mississippi State on Sunday. Friday's 10K Day match will begin at 7 p.m. and will air live on SEC Network. Sunday's battle of the Bulldogs will begin at 2 p.m. Admission is free to both matches. Georgia set a program record and state NCAA volleyball attendance record of 8,376 fans at last season's 10K Day on Oct. 11, 2024. The Bulldogs will look to break both records again this season against the Crimson Tide. Fans are encouraged to WEAR BLACK to the match.
ATLANTA, Ga. - No. 9/12 Georgia swim teams Heads to Atlanta for The Dual Meet Invitational. Georgia, George Washington, Auburn, Minnesota, NC State, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Army. In each match, both teams will compete with rosters of 16 swimmers and two divers in each gender, with each swimmer competing in a maximum of three events. Each match will feature seven individual events, two diving events with six rounds, and two relays. Each round will utilize a different order of events. Georgia heads back on the road to face rival Florida on Friday, Oct. 31 in Gainesville.
ORLANDO, Fla. — Georgia women's tennis heads south to Orlando, Fla. for the 2025 ITA Women's Southeast Regional Championships starting on Friday, Oct. 17 and running through Monday Oct. 20. They will compete in their second opportunity to secure an NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship spot. Regionals will take place at the USTA National Campus courts, hosted by UCF. Eight Bulldogs earned main draw selections with No. 9 Anastasiia Lopata, No. 28 Aysegul Mert, No. 92 Anastasiia Gureva, No. 100 Sofia Rojas, Emily Deming, Deniz Dilek, Emma Dong, and Hayden Mulberry beginning singles action on Friday. Additionally, all eight girls will pair up and compete in doubles action Friday morning.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. –The Georgia women's golf team is atop both leaderboards after the opening day of the Evie Odom Invitational. Maria Eidhagen Harrouch shot 2-under 68, claiming first among the individual field, while the team shot 285 and sits in first place at Princess Anne Golf Club. Sydney Givens recorded two sets of back-to-back birdies on holes 16 and 17, and holes 5 and 6. She totaled five birdies on the day and finished even-par 70, leaving her tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard.
[*]In her individual debut, Celine Brovold Sanne carded her best round as a Bulldog thus far this fall with 72 on the round. She is tied for 15th, giving the Bulldogs three golfers in the top 20 finishers on the day.
Columbia, Mo. — Georgia men's and women's cross country close the 2025 regular season with its toughest test of the season against multiple nationally ranked opponents at the Pre-National Invitational hosted by Missouri at the Gans Creek Cross Course on Friday. The Bulldogs will face a total of 12 ranked teams this weekend across both the men's and women's competition, proving to be one of the most challenging tests of the season thus far. The meet was initially scheduled for Saturday morning; however, the threat of inclement weather in Columbia, Mo. this weekend pushed the race up to Friday.
