Got there about 4 Friday and left after Weird Al last night. I haven't done a festival like that since Music Midtown about 12 or 13 years ago. Not sure I'll do it again.
Lineup was good, but the schedule was challenging with a lot of bands back to back that we wanted to see, we were doing a lot of walking. Probably put down about 25 miles over the 3 days. Can't believe I was actually looking forward to coming to work and sitting at a desk today. My kid is wiped too.
Kravitz and Sublime were awesome Friday. I was pleasantly surprised by Inhaler. Deftones was scary. I don't know how that dude performs like that. Black Keys were awesome Saturday, and I had no idea My Chemical Romance was still so popular.
I wish I had gotten to see the pixies and four non blonds, but that stage was just too damn far away for us, plus their slots conflicted with other bands we wanted to see.
I feel like I'll need about 3 more showers to get all of that dust off of me.

Only did Fri. Rest of the W/E at the lake and pool. Missed Sublime because of ATL traffic. Got up front for Pixies by skipping Kravitz but I just say both at Beachlife fest in Cali last May. Saw Spoon, Pixies and Deftones. Loved the EVH tapping the Deftones lead G guy (Stephan I think) was doing.
Isn't that Bono's son singing for Inhaler?

Yes, Bono's kid is the lead singer for inhaler. He's probably a better singer, tbh.
I was blown away by a lot of the acts. I went to festivals for years, and have never really been that impressed with so many bands. They all sounded pretty tight. We got there right as one of the first acts was starting up on Friday at the Ponce stage. Some girl band called Lambrogini Girls. They sounded terrible, so we walked away, but other than that, and someone else we heard howling on the Criminal records stage, everyone was incredible. Really impressed with how far festival production has come since I went to my first music midtown back in the early 90s.

ya think some of them pipe their shit in and play over a track. I'm beginning to think this because many of them sound perfect. I dunno.

I made that comment sometime this weekend. I was really wondering about Kravitz, because I couldn't really see his mouth moving behind the mic. You may be right. And the way the deftones dude bounces around the stage. Dude's got more energy than plant vogtel, especially with some of those screeches.
