Silver lining in that it gave the Bulldogs some adversity to face.

Following the game, Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart commented on the events of the first half and explained his frustrations with what all took place that led to Georgia's empty-handedness. About the Goal Line Stand before the half. "What disappointed me most is that we didn't score. There were like five plays that were within inches," said Smart. "Looking back, I probably wish we could've run the ball earlier. But the thought is that you don't run it when you don't have a timeout." The Bulldogs certainly had some opportunities to put points on the board. A goal line stand by Austin Peay right before the half kept points off the board and two fumbles by Frazier and London Humphreys also killed drives for the Bulldogs. Kirby Smart attributed a lot of Georgia's horizontal passes on Saturday to taking what the defense gave the Bulldogs. It took everything the Bulldogs had to put up 28 points on Saturday, which paled in comparison to Tennessee's 72 points against a comparable opponent. While those two scores will mean nothing on Saturday, the Bulldogs understand they have to up their game on offense in order to leave Knoxville with a win.

Georgia’s offense needs to be sharper. It needs a more cohesive offensive line, with Earnest Greene and Juan Gaston out due to injury. It needs to hit on more explosive, as Georgia’s longest pass play was just 19 yards. It also needs to hold onto the football, with Frazier and London Humphreys fumbling away possessions.
