This Gunner guy sucks!! Maybe we should see what Ginn has…Gunner sure ain’t it.
Damn, y’all a hard to please bunch! ???
His game isn’t going to look pretty all the time. Just not who he is…but, he is a winner. Last QB we had with that attitude did alright.
Let’s clear something else up. Gunners arm isn’t weak. It’s probably better than Stets.
He may fall on face by mid season…we shall see. But, it’s going to take that to dislodge him. Might as well get behind him now while it’s early.

Yes it was! It'll make some SEC teams put some more focus on him and allow an RB to break a long one...
and if they don't he'll keep making some big plays.

I'm a Gunner fan, always have been. I was a Stetson fan before anyone else liked him. I seem to remember plenty of folks around here complaining about Stetson's arm.
I'm not saying Gunner is the second coming of Stetson but he has enough arm to win and his running ability gives the opposing D something to think about. Some people's obsession with having a qb with an NFL arm is comical to me. What have we ever done with a 5 star, NFL ready qb? All of our championships in the last 65 years have come with a qb that was not a superstar talent.
Until Gunner gives me a reason to doubt him, I'll stick with him as starter.

Gunner will be fine, will continue to get better, and will get the vertical game dialed in. My biggest complaint from Saturday is he shouldn't have to run that much against the Marshalls of the world. And as has been expressed on these here chats before - OL will determine the success of this team.

He has the grit and determination to want to win. He may not win every game, but he will never quit.
It may not look pretty by traditional standards at times, but an ugly win is better than a pretty loss with lots of stats.
I like what he brings even though the pundits will doubt him at every turn. If the OL and receivers gel, it could be a great year….if the injury bug stays away.

In college, a QB that can move the chains with his feet is way more valuable than one that maybe hit 50 yard bomb once or twice a game. Higher percentage play wins out. It's math

In today's college game, the home run pass and long run from scrimmage for a td are almost dinosaurs. The qb that can keep the drive alive and keep the opposing offense off the field and wear down the opposing D is gold. The RB that can get 4-5 yds on 3rd and 2 or 3 by breaking tackles and making defenders miss is much more valuable than the RB that can outrun everyone on the field when he is untouched.
Kirby has done pretty well with good but not great armed qbs and a strong D. Until the game changes to where that formula doesn't work anymore, I hope he sticks with that recipe.
