Woof™ For 16th Best Season in History of UGA Football #6 Final AP Poll (SEC Champs)

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia women's swimmer Elizabeth Isakson and men's pole vaulter Alon Rogow have been named recipients of the 2025-26 Joel Eaves Scholar-Athlete Award. The pair will be honored at a home football game to be determined this fall. The award is presented annually to the male and female student-athletes with the highest grade point average upon entering the fall of semester of his or her senior year, based on academic hour rather than eligibility.  Additionally, a student-athlete must have earned at least two varsity letters to be eligible for the award. Eaves was the Director of Athletics at UGA from 1963-1979, and the award was established with the aim of acknowledging the contributions he made during his tenure while also highlighting the academic achievements of current student-athletes.

PULLMAN, Wash. - No. 13 Georgia heads on the road for the first time this season to face Washington State Sunday in Pullman. The Bulldogs opened the season with five consecutive home matches, closing out with four consecutive shutout wins, including their first-ever victory over North Carolina. Sunday's match is the second meeting between the Bulldogs and Cougars, with Georgia prevailing, 4-1, last season in Athens. No. 13 Georgia returns to Athens for its non-conference home finale, matching up with Wyoming on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Turner Soccer Complex.

ATHENS, Ga – The Georgia women's tennis program welcomed five newcomers for the 2025-2026 season, head coach Drake Bernstein announced on Friday. The newest Bulldogs are freshmen Emily Deming, Deniz Dilek, Emma Dong, Anastasiia Gureva, and Patricija Paukstyte.

BOONE, N.C. — Georgia cross country opened the 2025 season at the Covered Bridge Classic with the men sweeping the top six slots and the women finishing second overall on Friday morning. Georgia next laces up on Sept. 26th at Florida State for the Seminole Invite

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. --- The No. 23 Georgia men's golf team opened the season with the first round of the Carmel Cup at Spyglass Hill Golf Course on Friday.  The Bulldogs are in eighth place after round one after shooting 7-over.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Georgia volleyball team swept the Samford Bulldogs, 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-20), on Friday evening behind an 18-kill match from junior Bianna Muoenke. Muoneke's 18 kills in three sets tie for the ninth-most all-time in a three-set match at UGA. She hit a very strong .485 in the match, dished out four assists, and had three digs. She laid down eight kills in the third set alone. Georgia begins the 2025 season 1-0. Georgia is back in action on Saturday, Aug. 30, taking on the Troy Trojans. The Bulldogs and Trojans will square off at 5 p.m. ET in Birmingham to close out opening weekend.
