Joe Jamail was a prominent attorney known as the "King of Torts" in Texas, recognized for his successful personal injury cases, including the landmark Pennzoil vs. Texaco case, where he won a record $10.5 billion verdict. Born on October 19, 1925, Jamail was the wealthiest practicing attorney in America and had a net worth estimated at $1.7 billion. He was known for his aggressive advocacy and won over 200 cases with verdicts or settlements of at least $1 million for clients.
