Woof™ For 16th Best Season in History of UGA Football #6 Final AP Poll (SEC Champs)

ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia Director of Track & Field Caryl Smith Gilbert will be the head coach of the USA women's team at the coming World Athletics Championships. Smith Gilbert, who recently completed her fourth season leading the Bulldogs program, will head up the women's squad and be responsible for the sprint and hurdle events.  The World Championships will be in Tokyo on Sept. 13-21 and are expected to feature an array of future, current and former Bulldogs on a variety of squads from across the world. Also of note, former Bulldog thrower Kibwe Johnson will be the men's head coach and responsible for the throws and UGA graduate and former Athletic Association trainer Harris Patel will be on the staff.

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia's Celine Brovold Sanne, Chantal El Chaib and Kate Song have been named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholar Team announced by the organization on Monday. Brovold Sanne, El Chaib and Song were the Bulldogs' top three golfers throughout the 2024-25 season, leading Georgia in virtually every statistic. El Chaib has now been an All-American Scholar four times, including her previous three seasons at Sacred Heart. Song was honored for the second straight season.

Athens, GA  – The University of Georgia Athletic Association and Learfield have launched a transformative strategic Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) partnership designed to unlock new revenue-generating opportunities for UGA student-athletes amid the evolving landscape of college athletics. This cutting-edge collaboration will function independently from the University as a comprehensive marketing and NIL agency, leveraging Learfield Impact NIL services to provide student-athletes with unprecedented tools to build their personal brands, connect with sponsors, and earn income beyond traditional revenue-sharing models. In 2024, Georgia Football led the nation in viewership, averaging 8.6 million viewers per game—more than any other college team, according to Nielsen. The new NIL initiative is set to amplify that momentum by strategically aligning content creation, brand sponsorships, and long-term partnerships, ensuring both visibility and impact for UGA student-athletes.

ATHENS, Ga. - The SEC Network will feature 24 consecutive hours of Georgia Bulldog athletics on Wednesday, July 2, as part of the network's dedicated day of programming for all of the league's 16 schools during a period of more than two weeks. Beginning at midnight on Wednesday, Georgia's men's basketball, gymnastics, softball, women's basketball, women's track and field, baseball, volleyball, women's tennis and football teams will be featured throughout the day and night. The Bulldogs collected four national team championships during the 2024-25 academic year, including the final one of the year by the Georgia women's track and field team on June 14.
