It's day 19 and he's already been charged by a grizzly once and encountered another on the trail once. Lots of peaks and valleys, ups and downs. A lot of dried / dehydrated foods. I say he should have packed a fishing ROD considering how many lakes and rivers he's encountered. 1,100 KM over 35 days. Wondering how these guys purify their water they get from lakes and streams.

Let me be clear. Everyone who learns to brew gumbo should also learn how to make roux. I have mastered making roux....for at least 20 years. Once you learn how to do it it's ok to let someone else who knows they shit to do the hard work. This advice comes from my own Cajun / coonassed family in Lafayette and Breaux Bridge parrishes in the sticks of SW LA.
